This project provides a comprehensive guide on how to mark and cut drywall using four different methods. It covers using a drywall T-square for straight vertical cuts, a straight edge for vertical cuts without a T-square, a chalk line for horizontal marks, and a unique technique using a utility knife attached to a tape measure for precise horizontal scoring. The final step demonstrates how to properly break and finish the cut drywall.

Here are four different ways to cut drywall. Let's get after it. First method is a drywall T-square and mark where you need it. Now, you can either take your pencil or you can take your knife. Once you have it marked, put your square right up to it, put your foot on the bottom. All you got to do, you don't have to go hard, just kind of score the paper. And there you have it. Now, it's cut. All right, so what if you don't have a T-square? This case, let's just do 70. I'll go to the down to the bottom and mark at 70 again. Once you got the two measurements marked, you can go ahead and take up whatever you have. I don't really care as long as it's straight. Take your knife and again, the same thing. You can just run it. Now, what if you got to cut horizontally? Go ahead and take your tape measure and say we got to cut 5 in. You can take a chalk line. Hook your chalk line on the end, put it right to your mark here and just snap a line like that. And now, you could freehand this. If you guys are going to be doing a lot of drywall, you should probably learn how to do the knife and the tape measure trick and I'll show you guys how. Take your tape measure like this. Take your blade and put it on the inside of your hook there on your tape measure. And just pinch that. Pinch it with your fingers. Put your back one on here and that'll lock it in. And you're just going to run it. Now, we got to break it. Pull your drywall off the wall like this, put your hand here and just punch in or kick it. It's going to break just like that. Now, come on the back side here and run your knife up the back side. And now, if you can't reach all the way to the bottom, you can come down to the bottom here and you can score through the front side. And just like that, you got a clean cut. Anyways, I got drywall to hang. I'll catch you guys later. Peace.
