(16,902 characters)she's going in it's crusty falling in my mouth [Music] are you mom no i mean i'm not happy i'm not like oh i love wrangling a freaking engine it's finally time the engine is going back in literally uh right now got everything bolted up to it this little thingy is for the oil feed on the turbos motor mounts on ac brackets on if you want to see more details about let's go watch the last video i explained what all this is we uh had to clean up the engine bay a little bit more a lot of those bare wires uh the loom was all oily inside so we just rip that off we're gonna redo that but we're gonna put the engine in first i always hate doing this excuse me extreme paranoia does have this thing dangling like that oh from what i recall easiest way to do this on these escalades suburban whatever is to turn the engine sideways lower down to get the bouncer below this and you can turn it again so yeah that's the only way you can do that yeah yeah otherwise you get the engine at some ridiculous angle yeah nothing we're gonna need the floor jack where is it okay yeah the flex please just hit that okay there we go all right we're getting somewhere now it's not always a precision operation i'm trying to help [Music] okay it's like there we go okay oh you're on this wire over here i don't want you to crush it it's okay okay now the fun part of trying to get the transmission on it while we're doing this because i hate doing this process is extremely frustrating every time never gets easier it's always better when you can put the engine and transmission in at the same time but to do that we have to disconnect the transfer case drive shaft all that stuff so it's easier just to do it like this nothing good or nothing where the happening is ever easy to do put it that way we're getting close [Music] are you mom no i mean i'm not happy i'm not like oh i love wrangling a freaking engine and sticking it in there no i hate this i'm not having fun right now but you know what it's a necessary thing to do i can hold it right you're welcome thanks was it in there and you took it out no it was never in there oh it looked like it was it's really hard to see it's different when i've done this before and had it hanging from the ceiling you can like stand in there and you know kind of get it well now it's like stuck crooked on something i don't even know who franny is sort of i hate this i hate it so much she's going in to get it done now you see this very bottom one right there is it they're in the same places that we did them on the monte carlo there's a spider under here spider web oh there's a spider in it babe that dead one crusty falling in my mouth that's pretty good finger tight i'm about to fart rip it oh i don't know did you hear that yeah oh could they hear it leave it leave a comment if you heard it also leave a comment yeah i'm playing a camera i'm talking right now does anybody else fart on camera and then ask you about it i think that's worth you know a share you should like tell your friends you better subscribe to these people because they fart and then laugh about it we just don't care does your girlfriend send you pictures of her poop only if they're impressive though which has happened a couple days in a row now people think i'm disgusting now no they don't care and we don't both my best friend yeah and it's funny that's what we do if your girlfriend doesn't feel the need to show you like a legendary turd then you're probably just like not gonna work so i hate to tell you well we got all the engine bell housing bolts started in good and tightening up the motor mount bolts now being conscious of where it lands with the witness marks on the washer is because if it's not in the exact same place then the pipes don't line up because everything is hard it's like solid mounted so yeah if those bolts don't line up perfectly with the marks in the paint then we'll have to adjust the engine a little bit maybe once they all tighten down it'll kind of settle and be in the right spot because i've never never had to mess with it before it always just kind of worked out starting to get stuff cleaned up enough now to where we can be putting it back on this contraption i'm holding right here is my homemade steam vent crossover which i realized was still attached to the radiator when i remembered that it goes on before the regulator does and the regulator i'll show you here what this little doodad bracket does there's a whole mess of stuff under here that gets um covered up by the intake manifold and it's really really jammed in there it's really hard to fish everything through because of all the stuff that's there but it looks 10 gazillion times better because you don't have any wires visible um outside the intake manifold this bracket here is literally just the you know piece of aluminum from hardware store screwed into where the original bracket was and i just took the time to make a really specifically bent piece that would go share valley cover bolt hole and have because you can't just have it be straight like that you have to have that piece down there to locate it so it can't turn otherwise it would want to turn and it wouldn't be straightly perfect anymore and that would drive me crazy and you can see there's a bunch of dents on there i did this before i ever had a break or anything i made this with a hammer and a vice so if you have the patience to make nice things you can it's a big component because this holds out there hides right under the throttle body and the fuel lines go up into the rails and you don't even see the return and the feeds are in the back of the rail so you don't see anything at all and this is part of it too this steam vent um made it with red horse components and these little adapter things on the end that come from earl's that go into here we'll show you in a second now places like motion make hardline kits for these but they stick up pretty high above the valley so i made my own out of just dash four and fittings and that just kind of equalizes the coolant pressure from the four corners of the head and then goes back to a steam port on the radiator just to kind of eliminate air bubbles and stuff it's uh it's pretty cool so we're gonna get all that on there now we're just been cranking away on some simple stuff here that uh like i said in the last video a lot of this stuff is somehow modified to be just you know that much cleaner and we have to do that all those little custom little touches to make things look nice but on the other side of that coin there's a lot of stuff on here that is just plain old factory crap which is kind of what i've been putting on here like water pump factory water pump factory this thingy factory power steering lines factory rack all that's you know just doing all that and i cleaned off all the coil packs because they were all oily and got them fished back in there i forget where i got those mounts i found them on ebay but they're just a regular old remote coil pack mount deal um yeah and i got this all bolted on there's kind of you know the building up of all the crap that goes in here and kind of got the injectors laid out yeah two four six eight flopped over there one three five seven flopped over there cranks plugged in these are kind of rooted where they need to be once the intake goes on i got the feed rails pulled up for one rail the other rail grounds are on the back of the head this goes the iat sensor coil extensions go back down there to each side um kind of waiting on some wiring loom to come in the mail so i can redo these yeah i know what you're saying oh they're all blue how do you know what they are well look at the ends all right sometimes when you're wiring stuff you don't have 80 million colors of the same uh gauge to work with so you just got to make it work but we're really getting somewhere oh and the alternator power wire kind of sneaks up through here goes into the engine everything's all hidden in there probably putting the intake manifold together the injectors and everything but i don't want to put it on until the stuff comes in to do the coil extensions because those are a mofo to plug in because you got to plug in them before you put the intake on and all that stuff we can get the intake built and put together uh for all that probably get the ac belt on just tighten some stuff down so i tighten the belt housing bolts and do the uh convertibles and stuff too it's already even quantify everything that's going on here because you're just kind of like oh there's this i'm gonna do oh there's this i'm gonna do that real quick oh this goes here first i need to go find that where is that oh it's over here it's still dirty oh i gotta clean it oh okay i do that put it on oh oh oh and it all just kind of comes back it's been so long but when you start doing it it starts to come back it's pretty cool i'm really getting excited for this thing uh back to the custom thing that i alluded to earlier there's a little ground here on the ms3 harness and i put it in that bolt hole right back here which is kind of a pain in the butt to get to and it's a pretty shallow bolt hole so any of the regular length ls head bolts uh the bottom out in there so i cut one you don't have one of these it'll change your life because you don't want to get out the giant cut off wheel to do that because i don't know about you guys but i hate using those things they're just like there's a freaking death field but this thing you know i'm not gonna say it can't hurt anybody but it's less likely to we're just gonna cut this bolt here because i have a box of bolts that come from ls engines pretty much any hardware that comes off of something that doesn't get used it's put in there for future so look at that brodex banner wow brodix blocks and manifolds since 1965. that harry game car had brodic's heads yeah i have a a nut on there to uh make sure the threads get come out the right way because you take it off and it kind of cuts the threads back right i actually have one of these shortened already but i used it on the ground back there because i thought it went back there but i actually had i made it for this one i didn't know hindsight would have been easier to put this on before the water pump but moe will don't care what it is yeah it's character building now we're going to get the o-ring ready for the high rim lid which is a little interesting it comes just as a string like that and you lay it around here and cut it to fit and then you put some rtvc this is a used manifold it's already kind of on there but what i did on the old one is i put some rtv in other places to hold it down because i couldn't get it to like stay flat so that's what we're gonna do now so it's cut to fit let's put some rtv in there maybe we'll put a little bit down here just to make sure it doesn't fall out i said before when uh we had to make the holes bigger for the lid that if they were gonna be visible on top you get some nicer bolts well it comes with them that's freaking really cool but i don't know if i can use those studs i know i use these to hold the intake down before for some reason i don't know exactly why uh i suspect that i could not get the intake over the studs with the windshield cowl the way it was i don't know maybe i just didn't like the way the studs looked i'm not sure probably end up getting new uh stainless versions of these because this black finish kind of comes off and these forgot rusty i didn't know i was gonna do that when i built this thing so this on here kind of got attacked in place here here here here over here and right there that's the joint and i threw some black spray paint on there to see to let it dry so i could take this fitting out and cut it down because it bugs me how much that sticks up i don't know how much it would really disturb airflow not trying to make you know point two percent horsepower more i just don't want to you know have these cylinders turbulated differently than these ones and you know melt something i don't know it's being paranoid being a perfectionist but uh that's what's all about so also i'm gonna do the convertibles i had to get new washers because we stole some of them to use on uncle rob to space it out correctly and they use red loctite to stick them together for the right um shin spacing we explain all that measuring the you know the converter preload shim and all that in the uh uncle rob 4l80 installation video we don't want to go over this a bunch of times we want your owner as much as possible but we don't want to repeat ourselves too many times i guess is what we're saying i don't know can you ever be too detailed let me know would you just look at it oh yeah look at it use the same cutoff milwaukee thingy no disturbance of airflow here well i don't know what's going on here this is like a variance in the castings or something but i'm not happy with how this is going together you see there's a ledge right here and that gap increases is it goes to having a lip here to a ledge and over here the ledge gets thicker almost like this whole lid is just gonna and it does not want to shift over you can even see there it's just like not it's not lined up and this this hangs over his lip here and it's kind of flushed there so i think as much as it pains me i need to take this lid off and waller out some of these holes more so that this can be kind of shifted a little bit and then tighten down on the right place all i have in 12 point is this wrench so uh i'm gonna have to go to the store and get me some little 12 point quarter inch sockets because i had to do all these like manually and it just took forever so i'm not do that again that is a task for another day let it let's transfer to picking the front end up on this thing and doing the converter bolts and bell housing pulse for once and for all did you hear that plugs lego plastic hats and the spark plugs um when i'm cranking those over the compression is blowing them out okay oh it's been a long time since i've done that we're glad you're here glad you watched hopefully you learned something hopefully you're entertained uh yeah we just we appreciate you uh logan's building a table another one which is one of those yeah we only have like a million tables in here now yeah don't mind the mess we're still kind of figuring this out eventually the uh the larger tv stand's gonna go there with tv on it and we're gonna have a couch and stuff in here somewhere and move the dog area somewhere else once there's room somewhere else can we just take a moment christmas tree is really pretty and it's finally up so yeah there it is it's beautiful maybe we should upload this video on christmas yeah or the day after i don't know merry christmas merry christmas also we will leave the christmas sweatshirts on the website i guess you can't have one for christmas now however i will tell you we will be wearing these next christmas but you will not be able to buy one next christmas so if you want one of these a year from now you should get one now stick it in your closet and then you can be a real g in 366 days well from the time of filming but 365 from the time you're gonna watch it probably either way this is the og escalade christmas sweater and there will only be one of these this is all we have this is all that's left in the worldwide history for the rest of forever so yeah yep there you go disabling autobooks.com you know the deal and all the other stuff's here stickers and whatnot and the license plates like the one we have on the back of the rolls which is really cool who thinks we should put a farm use tag on it i think that'd be funny on the rolls yeah we can make one that says uh floor caster use because that's all it's going to use for right now yeah but like to go like take it to do something really stupid and have like farm use tag on it would be funny because like it is what it is yeah yeah we will do that many um many stupid things are inbound 2022 is gonna be really fun i think a year ago now i was building the crossover on uncle rob in the now defunct triple seven of texas that sucked putting that thing together stuck it was really cold in there and didn't have any tools is not very much fun the thing we did there was fun in the building anyways texas just sucked yeah it was not really a good experience it's a good launch pad but wasn't really where we wanted to be now we are where we want to be we're having fun we're doing history stuff we got our own space it's pretty awesome and for those of you that have been here to witness all that happen um we really appreciate you and we hope that our process inspires you to go make positive changes in your own life because you're you're watching it happen here you can make it happen too you just wake up every day and do something about it
