It’s almost time to frame up a new project, so I’m revisiting some old framing clips! #shorts

What happens here

With the roof rafters securely in place, begin installing the roof sheathing. Typically, this involves 1/2-inch or 5/8-inch plywood or OSB panels. Lift the panels onto the roof structure, staggering the seams according to best practices to enhance structural integrity. Fasten each panel securely to the rafters with nails or screws, ensuring proper edge spacing between panels as recommended by the manufacturer to allow for expansion. This step provides the structural deck for the roof and adds rigidity to the overall structure.

Goal: Once the roof frame is complete, plywood or OSB panels are carefully lifted and fastened to the rafters, creating a solid, continuous surface for the roofing materials to be applied later.
