I Built My Daughter A Dream Bunk Bed

What happens here

Apply vertical shiplap paneling to the back wall of the bed's lower section and within the upper arch. Use construction adhesive on the back of each shiplap board and secure them with a brad nailer. For the arch, use a heat gun to carefully bend PVC trim to match the curve. Apply construction adhesive to the back of the bent PVC trim and secure it in place with a brad nailer. This adds a finished look and creates the guard rail for the top bunk.

Goal: Apply shiplap paneling to the bed's interior and install the top bunk guard rail.

and that's how you wire up a switch vertical shiplap as per us I'm going to put some adhesive on the back so that I'm going to put a minimal amount of Nails in there cuz it's going to go just on the on the tongue part but the adhesive is going to do the work of clamping the sucker together couple of Brads just on the tongue [Music] all right that's the last of the trim and the shiplap the next thing we need to solve is getting some guardrail so here's what I'm thinking for the guard rail I'm going to do these vertical little slats uh it's going to be about 16 in tall about yay big but to give it more of a three-dimensional look these are going to be flat and the middle we'll call them Styles I don't know terminology and railings are going to go this way well no actually they're going to go this way that will give us the dimension because I'm going to secure this with glue uh and screws I don't want the screw to snap this it's pop it's it's a little more uh dense so pre-drill a pile of hold put a screw in with with glue should be really strong a shoot it broke maybe I could still save it by putting this on the that' be the bottom piece and that'll be the top damn all right I think to minimize the any kind of more breakage I think I'm just going to Brad nail it in place and then secure with screws afterwards cuz I don't want to keep breaking this wood again look at that perfect fit definitely didn't make any mistakes before it's a lie I was an eighth over but we got that fixed secure through the holes on the sides bottom here I don't know if I'm being biased but this thing is a thing of beauty I do have a
