I Built My Daughter A Dream Bunk Bed

What happens here

Assemble a rectangular frame for the bed's mattress base. This frame should fit snugly within the installed horizontal supports. Add several cross-supports within this frame for mattress stability. Secure these pieces using wood screws. This frame will be approximately 14 inches off the ground. The builder decided against a 'floating' bed design for safety, opting for a fully supported, built-in look.

Goal: Build a sturdy, supported frame for the mattress.

Tools and materials

  • 2x4 Lumber — Building the bed base frame and cross-supports
  • Cordless Drill Ryobi — Driving screws to assemble the frame
  • Measuring Tape Milwaukee — Measuring cuts for the bed base frame
  • Square — Ensuring corners are perfectly square during assembly
  • Wood Screws — Assembling the bed base frame

this I didn't even make any [Music] plans so originally I thought it would look really cool if I just had a supporting bracket here and make this kind of look like a floating bed but then I thought there's going to be kids jumping on this and that might not hold up too well so what I'm going to do is keep it more of like a built-in look so I'm going to put another part below here and then box it all out so it'll look like it's part of the structure versus like looking like it's just a bed that's tucked in underne I think I just broke the record for the Royal's large Splinter well it doesn't look that big now trust me it was huge it like this long now that we got the whole thing
