I Built a $5,000 Mudroom for Under $1,700
What happens here
All wooden components of the mudroom (cabinets, lockers, doors, drawer faces) need to be primed and painted. The creator chose Sherwin Williams Iron Ore (SW 7069) for the paint color, a deep charcoal with a satin finish, aiming for a moody yet modern look. Due to windy outdoor conditions, the initial primer application led to debris (grass) sticking to the wet surface, requiring extra sanding and re-priming. Once adequately primed, the components are painted with multiple coats of the chosen color using a paint sprayer, ensuring even coverage and a smooth finish.
Goal: Prime and paint all mudroom components with the chosen color
