I Built a $5,000 Mudroom for Under $1,700
What happens here
The mudroom design calls for multiple individual base cabinets rather than one large unit, to ensure consistency and easier handling. Each base cabinet is constructed using cut plywood pieces, joined with wood glue and pocket screws. A toe kick (4.5 inches tall, 2 inches deep) is added to the bottom front of each cabinet. The creator uses a pocket hole jig to drill holes for the screws, ensuring strong, concealed joints. Four identical base cabinets are built to form the foundation of the mudroom bench.
Goal: Assemble four consistent base cabinets with toe kicks
