HOW TO PAINT CABINETS. Our entire cabinet painting process exposed.

What happens here

Thoroughly clean all cabinet doors and drawer fronts. If the cabinets are oak or were previously finished with a pigmented lacquer, use Dawn dish soap diluted with water for cleaning. For cabinets previously done with a pigmented lacquer that require quicker drying time (especially for small touch-up panels as shown), denatured alcohol is used as it dries much faster.

Goal: Remove grease, grime, and contaminants from cabinet surfaces.
