Install SilcaMat Underlayment

What happens here

Unroll and install the SilcaMat, a 1mm thick permeable rubber underlayment (approximately 1/16 inch thick), directly over the installed SilcaGrid panels. The SilcaMat is designed to deaden sound, provide cushioning for the pavers, and keep them securely in place. Use a pair of household scissors or a sharp utility knife along a straight edge to cut the mat to size, ensuring it fits snugly against the house and the edges of the deck. Maintain a slight fold or overhang against the house to prevent polymeric sand from falling off. The mat itself is a recycled product, often made from recycled tires.

Goal: Add sound dampening and cushioning for the pavers.
