Apply Joist Tape

What happens here

Apply joist tape, specifically StoneDeks Joist Tape, to the top of all wooden joists. This self-adhesive membrane reduces water exposure to the wood, thereby extending the life of the joists by preventing rot. The tape should also be applied underneath any rafter hangers. No special pre-cleaning of the wood surface is necessary before applying the tape; simply wipe off any loose debris.

Goal: Protect wood joists from moisture and extend their lifespan.
