What happens here

Install the SilcaGrid panels over the joist-taped timber frame. These hexagonal grid panels connect to each other and provide the structural support for the porcelain pavers. Ensure the strong axis of the grid (where the lines are thicker and run parallel to the joists) is aligned with the joists for maximum strength. Stagger the panels to avoid weakening the joists by having too many screws in one line. Use a reciprocating saw (Sawzall) to cut the panels to fit the deck's contours, ensuring each cut piece is adequately supported by the underlying frame.

Goal: Create a stable and supportive sub-base for the porcelain pavers.
