How to Build a Backyard Water Feature

What happens here

With all components in place, fill the hidden reservoir with water using a garden hose until the pump is fully submerged and the water level is sufficient for circulation. Plug the pump's electrical cable into a GFCI-protected outdoor outlet for safety. Turn on the pump to activate the water feature. Observe the water curtain created by the jets. If the flow is uneven or too strong/weak, you can adjust the water jets by twisting them slightly or, if your pump has it, adjust the flow rate. Ensure that water is properly draining back into the reservoir through the lid and that no excessive splashing is occurring outside the designated area. Make any final aesthetic adjustments to the surrounding rocks or landscaping.

Goal: Ensure proper functionality, water flow, and drainage of the completed water feature.
