What happens here

Once the hexagonal body is fully assembled, draw the jack-o'-lantern face onto the wood using a pencil or marker. Ensure the design is centered and scaled appropriately for the piece. Using a drill fitted with a small spade bit (e.g., 1/2-inch Bosch Daredevil spade bit), drill pilot holes within the areas of the face design that will be cut out. These pilot holes will allow the jigsaw blade to be inserted. Once the pilot holes are drilled, use a jigsaw to carefully cut out the facial features (eyes, nose, mouth) following the drawn lines. Take your time to make clean cuts. After the cuts are complete, use a random orbital sander with 80-grit sandpaper to smooth all surfaces of the jack-o'-lantern, including the cut-out edges, to remove any rough spots or tear-out from the jigsaw. Finally, use a benchtop belt sander set at a 45-degree angle to create a chamfer around the entire outer edge of the jack-o'-lantern. This adds a three-dimensional, carved look and refines the overall appearance.

Goal: Cut out the jack-o'-lantern's face and chamfer its edges for a carved effect.

doesn't sit flush after we've got done drawing our goofy jackal interface we need to create a pilot hole to insert the jigsaw blade I'm using these box daredevil Spade bits this particular one is a little too big and I realized there's too much material to move being a hardwood so I switched over to a half inch spade bit and as you can see here it worked perfectly puncture right through it I'll leave a link in description I like these Spade bits because they have that little screw up front to make sure you get into it perfectly so then I've moved over to my jig saw I introduced it right into the pilot hole that we screwed out and we started kind of carving away our jack-o'-lantern for the holidays afterwards to clean up any of the tarry outs and kind of blend everything and I used 80 grit sandpaper to lightly blend everything together and get it ready for my bench top sander at the bench top sander I brought it to a 45 degree angle and I put a nice chamfer all along the entire edge to give it a three look when it came down to creating the
