FARM to FREEZER | BUTCHER SHOP TOUR! You Won't Believe This Setup!

What happens here

After an animal is harvested at the Gibbonville facility (the drop-off point), its carcass is transported to the main Asheboro facility. Upon arrival, the meat is unloaded in large grey totes. Each tote contains the parts from a single animal, ensuring no commingling. The meat is accompanied by a cut sheet and food safety tags (with tag numbers like '3282-83' shown), which include a barcode system (proprietary database) to track the animal's cuts, organs, and byproducts through every stage of processing. This meticulous tracking guarantees that farmers receive meat from their specific animals and that no parts are mixed.

Goal: Understand how animals are received and tracked through the facility.
