Everything You Need To Know Before Building a Retaining Wall
What happens here
After a sudden snowfall, the project is temporarily halted. Snow covers the entire retaining wall. To proceed with the installation of the capstones, the crew uses a large propane torch to melt away the snow and ice from the top surface of the retaining blocks. This ensures a clean and dry surface for proper adhesion of the capstones. Once the snow is cleared, the capstones, which are decorative and protective blocks, are set on top of the final course of GeoWall blocks, securing them with construction adhesive to provide a finished look and prevent water infiltration.
Goal: Clear snow and install capstones to complete the top of the retaining wall.
