COOKING WITH CAST IRON!! EVERYTHING YA EVER WANTED TO KNOW...SEASONING/CARING FOR CAST IRON COOKWARE

What happens here

For a well-seasoned cast iron pan, fill the bottom of the skillet with warm water and place it on a stove burner. Turn the burner to medium-high heat. Allow the water to heat up until it starts to steam. This steaming process helps to loosen any stuck-on food without stripping the seasoning.

Goal: Loosen stuck-on food from a seasoned pan without using soap.
