Building a SHED ROOF over a DECK - Part 2!!

What happens here

Unband the bundles of 2x10 hemlock fir lumber. Inspect each piece for straightness and identify its 'crown' (the slight curve along its length). Place all rafters on saw horses with the crown facing upwards and in the same direction. This ensures consistency when the rafters are installed, preventing dips or unevenness in the finished roof. Select the best pieces for primary framing, reserving less perfect ones for blocking or secondary framing.

Goal: Unband, crown, and stack the 2x10 rafters on saw horses, ensuring all crowns face the same direction for structural integrity and ease of cutting.
