What happens here

Install 'Witch's Hat' pipe flashing around all extended vent pipes. This cone-shaped flashing is designed to provide a watertight seal where pipes penetrate the EPDM membrane. Prime the area around the pipe and flashing, then apply adhesive and roll down the flashing for a secure bond. Additionally, install drip edge along the perimeter of the roof, over the EPDM membrane and fascia board. The drip edge directs water away from the fascia, protecting the underlying structure. Use seam tape to further seal any joints or overlaps in the drip edge and EPDM. Proper installation of these elements is crucial for preventing water infiltration and ensuring the long-term integrity of the roof.
