Boosted Yukon XL "Uncle Rob" FINALLY Makes Turbo Noises!! We Finish Up Assembly & First Time Startup

What happens here

After draining the old oil, pour approximately 1 gallon of old E85 (ethanol fuel) into the engine's oil system through the turbo oil return line. This acts as a flushing agent to clean out any residual metal shavings or contaminants from the new turbo installation. Ensure the oil drain plug is re-installed before adding the E85. Use a funnel to prevent spills and direct the E85 accurately. Allow it to sit briefly, then remove the oil drain plug again to drain the E85 into the drain pan. Repeat this flushing process a second time to ensure thorough cleaning.

Goal: Clean residual contaminants from the engine's oil system.

pretty much what we're gonna do is just uh dump some of this old e85 right down the turbo drain through a little funnel here and hopefully it'll it'll get all that stuff we got the drain pan right down there so it's just going to run right through which is fine but we poured some of that into that old coolant container because i'm not about to try to finagle a five gallon bucket into that tiny funnel into that tiny hose i don't know how well this will work but i got to do something with that old ethanol anyway because it's too old to use i filled that up on race week so that's how old that is i left the drain off so i'll pour it this way if it doesn't dribble on you it's finding new ways to make stupid messes i don't know if that did anything but it's a thought that counts right just uh empty the drain pan and gonna do it again because why not i have more more of that through there and then blow some compressed air down it just to kind of like evaporate it a little bit before we put the new oil in i'm not gonna change the filter uh i think we'll start it first with the oil filter because then any crud that doesn't get picked up we'll go to the old filter and not the new one it makes sense in my head so we'll try it if it spins a bearing right after this then obviously did something didn't work but i think we'll be okay oh we dumped the
