Clean and Prepare CPVC Pipe

What happens here

Once all old valve components are removed, the exposed end of the CPVC pipe needs to be cleaned and prepared. Use an emery cloth, Scotch-Brite pad, or fine-grit sandpaper to lightly abrade the outer surface of the pipe. This creates a slightly rough texture that allows the CPVC cement to bond more effectively for a watertight seal.

Goal: Lightly sand the exposed CPVC pipe end to prepare it for proper adhesion with new cement.
