Abandoned House FINAL HOUSE TOUR!
What happens here
The original living room featured old, dingy carpet, low ceilings, and a dark, dungeon-like fireplace backdrop with an old projector and a bulky corner TV unit. The transformation included replacing the carpet with new hardwood flooring throughout, adding taller (5.5-inch) and thicker (3/4-inch) baseboards, and installing new windows to allow more natural light. The fireplace area was completely redone with brand new stone, giving it a cool, warm, farmhouse aesthetic. Built-in cabinets with countertops and shelving were added on either side of the fireplace for decor and storage. The original red brick in the fireplace was given a heat-treated paint finish for a modern look. Recessed lighting was installed in the ceiling to further brighten the room, and an electrical outlet was added above the fireplace for a modern TV.
Goal: The living room was renovated from a dark, carpeted space with an outdated fireplace and corner media unit into a bright, open area with new flooring, a modern stone fireplace, and built-in shelving.
