I had a workshop for years, but never a work trailer. And today we will change that. As you've seen throughout the abandoned house series, this was my workshop for a little over a year. The house is finally ready, and I have nowhere to put these tools. So I took this 8.5 by 20 foot trailer . I think this is the optimal size. 16 feet seemed too small. 20 feet is what you need. I wanted it to be able to lower for easy tool movement, so I chose the maximum width— 8.5 feet. If I could add a few more inches of height, I would be less nervous walking here. I don't want to just store things here. No, I want to make this the coolest work trailer ever . Well, not for sale, but for my own use. I'm thinking about built- ins, you know? There will be a workbench here. There will be a built-in storage space for all the tools. We will install solar panels. Let's add batteries. We will do everything any contractor could dream of. The first step to coolness is laying parquet flooring. We have five or six boxes of laminate left over from when we finished renovating the abandoned house. I think this is a great way to save some money. We'll make sure the floor doesn't "walk" because I don't want it to float. I want everything to be reliable. So we're going to use a strong glue to glue this together tightly. Oh, damn. Ah, first failure of the day. Okay, follow closely. We have the last box left. I don't know if it'll be enough to finish it all. Fortunately, there are a few places where flooring is not needed, such as steps or wheel arches. Maybe a few boards won't be enough, we'll see. Let's take a risk. Well, I put the last part down. How are you? Do we have enough material? No. No, it wasn't enough. The fun is over. The most annoying thing is that I can't just go to a hardware store and buy this box , because I had to order it specially from a coating store. Hopefully, hopefully, I can get it soon enough and I won't have to wait a week or two. But it would be a shame if you had to wait. But let's move on . A great feature of this trailer is that it already has wooden panels on the sides. We probably won't need those pieces of wood, but I also don't know if they hold the leaves behind. I'll take down these shelves. I'll clean it all up. I'll just clear the space because we need to plan how we want to place the cabinets here. Okay, guys. I am exhausted. Construction, simultaneously running a YouTube channel, and balancing work and family. This is all difficult. This can be very tiring. You have good days and bad days, and I rejoice in our good days. I didn't remove this because I think it's actually the most efficient way to make a workbench. He is close to the door. We have an awkward triangular space here. I will make it stronger. For now, I'll leave it as a template. So the idea is that it will be a workbench. Maybe we'll add cabinets on top for screws and other small items. But the main thing here is the sides. That's what I think. I think we'll stick with what contractors usually do: have a bunch of these storage systems or tool organizers. So I picked up another set of three. Together we work with nine of them . I'll gather the tools and try to organize them into appropriate categories. Maybe something for plumbing, something for cutting. I don't know yet. But we'll have to create shelves where all this can be put. And as you can see, there will probably be three different sizes of shelves. I think we will make stacks of three. Large bottom, middle and top. And instead of pinching them together , they will just stand inside . With a downward slope. It sounds good in my head right now . But, let's cut. we'll leave about an inch of space in each compartment so that, you know, it's easier to insert. And I don't know if that's too little. I don't know if there will be any problems with having to insert them all the time, but I also don't want them dangling because then they will fly all over the trailer. So the denser, I think, the better. Oh, that looks so cool. We will make three of these. And this will be the perfect section for them. We will put a small rail on the bottom so that they do not slip out , but they can still be placed inside. I think this will work. There may not be enough space, but we'll figure something out. We'll attach something like a French bar to secure this to the wall. And this thing isn't going anywhere. So I'll tell you frankly. It's very difficult to come up with an idea for an organization because you don't really know what exactly you need to have here, because we deal with plumbing, electricity, carpentry, and furniture. I mean, that's all, a jack of all trades. We're not just plumbers or anything like that. So everything has to be specific. So my strategy right now, I think the best solution for the organization is to bring the tools here and arrange them in the most efficient order. Like this is my miter saw stand . This is a wheel arch. It looks perfect at this distance. So I think we'll bring them in and then build around them. Now we're going to make cuts around these corners so we can get inside. Well, it's not exactly corners. They are simply cut out so you can insert them there. And then we'll make a section for the saw so it can stand on top. And let's continue this idea with the countertop . Lots of ideas. I like that it's here so that nothing gets out, but it will interfere with what needs to come out. I might have to get rid of this. I hate this. I really hate this. What annoys me is that the miter saw doesn't sit there perfectly. So I think I'll make dividers here and turn it into mini drawers. And on this side, I'm just going to make it 30 inches deep instead of 21 inches deep, just to make it perfect. Oho! Finally we got the right size. She's not going anywhere. She fits perfectly. She doesn't get in the way. And for this section, I think I have an idea. Oh, that's good. Next, I have about four of these 27 gallon containers. And I have them , this one, for example, for tiles , right? The next container I have is for drywall. The third container is for electricity. And the fourth container is for plumbing. I just throw all the small parts and fittings that have accumulated over the years in there. Often I do n't even have to run to the hardware store for them. I probably have them. So, I'm going to take 1x2s, build a frame so they can slide in easily. And that's perfect because it's the perfect width. Everything here will be symmetrical. Small frame, a little work with the frame. The shelves are ready. They look perfect. Here's the next thing I picked up. I bought about three of these containers at Home Depot. Oh, those are tough options. So, here will be all the screws, nails, nuts and bolts, everything that might be needed. I bought three. I think three is too many for me, but it's better to have more than less. So what I'm planning to do is this : in this small space where the compressor and miter saw will be, I'm going to make shallow shelves that will have grooves and stops to keep them from sliding out. I think they will look very nice. I love how accessible and organized this overhead storage is. So I'm thinking of doing one more thing to put it here. I'll make it about 8 feet long. And we'll build up any uncomfortable spaces that remain and find something to put there, because we have enough stuff. Okay, that's perfect. Because there are strange things that don't have a case, like a spray gun. and make a nice wide side for it. This thing isn't going anywhere. This is over. I still need to make a bunch of drawers for this . And that's my to- do list for today. Offscreen, we'll start working on this workbench. My idea is to push it further forward. I'll probably use this distance to make it rest and connect with this place. We'll use the same triangle as a template that's there. Let's just push it out a little. I'll take this down and make it out of 2x4 lumber. So it will be much stronger than this one. This doesn't support anything. Oh, impressed with my mitering skills? I will not refuse. From time to time I manage to get it right . I'll tell you this right away. It's horrible to use a laser level when the whole trailer is shaking. So you have to wait until he calms down, and then move as if you were defusing a bomb. I don't need it to be too tight, but since the walls are flexible, there is a little bit of play. I wouldn't even try to sit on it. I think I need to put a leg in the middle, it will reassure me that in the future, if I put something heavy here, it won't sag. Besides, if I want to put tool boxes here , it will hold that much weight. This is what we are talking about. I'm going to start sheathing it with plywood, top and sides, and then maybe make some kind of storage space underneath, because it looks like a good place to store all sorts of things, like a vacuum cleaner, a construction vacuum, buckets— I have probably six of them. Why? I, I don't know. Oh, this thing is just gorgeous. This is exactly what I need. I need a vacuum cleaner that I can connect a sander to if I need to sand the baseboards in my house before painting. I need a construction vacuum cleaner for cleaning. A fan to help texture plaster or paint dry faster, buckets for mixing mortar, you know, concrete or whatever. And we'll also move the spare tire from the back to make room for the table saw in that little side niche. So I'll hang it on the wall. For now , I think I'll make something like a divider, maybe a 5-inch bar across and dividers. That way they will stay in place, and when we drive on the highway or somewhere else, things won't fly all over the compartment. It turned out pretty cool for such an awkward space. This section with shelves is just perfect. I think this is the most efficient way to use space. Everything is held firmly and securely. It will not roll during turns. The ladder is another great find. I just thought we'd hang it like this and hide it behind this locker. We have potential closet space here, but I do n't really need it because there are several other spaces in the front or back of the trailer. So I want to make this place really, really cool. We'll leave it as a blank canvas, maybe paint it some accent color, like black, and hang LEDs. I think it's going to look incredible when the trailer doors open. It will be just great. In addition, neon lights will also serve as additional lighting. So it's not just for beauty. This will be a functional thing. I really like what came out of this. We have a small fixation system here. I've seen someone have these little plastic parts that turn sideways and lock the doors so they don't open when turning. So, I think I can add that when it's all ready. But let me show you something I've been working on. I'm a little confused about some things here. So, I have a few more units to store. They're meant for awkward things, here's a great example, right? You take your nail gun and it just goes there. This keeps it from falling out, wobbling, and makes storing it much more convenient. And here, some of these trailers have a downward slope, so it's very inconvenient. So I decided to add a little slope to the cut out part here. This is the most interesting part. I have a refrigerator here that runs on a battery. And this thing that looks like a computer is actually a power bank. And what's cool is that it has USB charging. There is a 110-112 volt outlet here. And it connects to a solar panel. So we can hang the solar panel on the roof or put it outside for charging. But I think something more needs to be done here. So I'll see if I can add another shelf , a divider, and reinforce it for more stability . And I think we'll finish the part with assembling the storage spaces. I got too carried away. I made it too tight so it wouldn't fall out. And now I have to break it down. It's just one step back, not twenty. This thing weighs as much as a car battery. If you don't succeed the first time, use a hammer. So, it's time to priming. I want to paint everything inside. I don't know what color yet. While we're applying primer for better adhesion, maybe I'll have time to come up with something interesting. But if you have any ideas, let us know in the comments below. Let's see if our thoughts coincide. I feel great. I think my gun just died. The engine probably jammed because it got hot. Well, that's not good. My gun is broken , I'm out of primer, I still need to buy paint, and I'm already " high" from these fumes because I can't find a mask. Add this to the project, why not? Broken sprayer. Moved on to the next sprayer. The spray nozzle is clogged . I have heat stroke . It's getting hot outside. All covered in paint. I am exhausted. I want to end this already . Okay, let's see if this works. After thinking for a long time, I decided to choose a style. White is cool because it brightens up dark areas. But the problem with white is that it will get dirty from tools. But black, especially matte black, is a real style. Black won't get dirty because it's already black. The only problem with black is that scratches will be gray or white. But I'm willing to do it for the sake of style. So, I do n't know. Let's see what it looks like. Right in the eye. Ah, this is the most annoying thing I've ever done. What is blocking it? I cleaned it. Good. OK. So, these rubber ties were a great solution. They don't fall out on turns. I already checked. I moved it to my home. The drawers keep them straight. They don't fly either. Perfectly. I am very pleased with the result. Now I have more and more tools here, and we are gradually getting organized. Today we will deal with electricity . So, here's the main idea. Here is my big battery. I ran an extension cord to provide power to the other side of the trailer. My chargers are ready here. They are connected to the battery and that is perfect. And on top of this battery, I have solar panels. They work like this: they simply unfold . And here is my cable. So the work process will be simple: unfold it, throw it on the roof. Boom. Now the solar panels are charging our system. These panels and battery are needed to charge the batteries, the lights in the trailer, and one more secret thing that I will be happy to show you. But usually, if I'm working in a house where there's electricity, I just plug an extension cord into the trailer. But we'll make it even cooler . This is a cable for campers that supplies power to the trailer without unnecessary wires. Problem. He is too fat. The gap between this place and that place is too big. So I guess my only option is to cut a small square around it to put the ring on. It's a shame because it would look so neat, but How do they expect me to put a ring on this? It worked. So, our power comes from the house to the trailer, to the power supply. The power supply also receives energy from solar panels on the roof. And I have two more outlets coming out here from the power that comes from the house. And I can power my miter saw, my circular saw—all right in the driveway. Our place is clean, well, not exactly clean. By "clean" I mean organized power systems. We have wires everywhere here. This is simply incredible. I get power from the unit through this hose. That is, not a hose, but a cable. We'll lay it on top and try to conduct the energy to the back. And I'm happy to show you something. OK. OK. So, here's the exciting part that I wanted to show you. I have my own LED lights because this is going to be a cool work trailer. So, this is my favorite saying. No one cares, work harder. I live by this motto and even have it tattooed on my chest. This means a lot to me, it's a kind of call to courage and work— no matter how successful you are, don't show off. Don't show it off. Everyone doesn't care . Just keep working even harder. So the idea is that I'll put one here and the other one over there. We'll secure everything, hide the wires under the bottom, connect the power cable, and launch this beauty. Ah, ah, ah. So, guys, are you ready? Let's check them out. Oh, don't do that. How cool is that, right ? We need to step back a little and look. Someone looks from the outside and thinks, "This is cool." What's going on inside? Oh, that's a great choice. Oh, I'm so happy with this. So, let's talk about lighting. I used to have these cool LED lights that were plugged in. Now the power comes from the trailer, or rather, excuse me, from the truck. And I want to make sure that if I have to go and disconnect the truck, I still have a light inside. And I'm too stupid to figure out how to hook this up, because we need an inverter if we're going to hook this up to our solar system. So , since our batteries are powered by the sun, we're going to take this threaded work light and attach it to the bottom here. Of course, we don't have the headroom to do it any other way. We do n't have much space, although it would be ideal. But the reason I want to mount it here is because we're going to put a bolt through it from the top. And I want to position it so that I can work here with light, or turn it around if I need to find a tool or something like that. So, he will go back and forth. Uh, I think this is the most practical and best solution I could come up with. In addition, it also has the ability to connect via cable. So you can use it with batteries or a cable, and you'll have all the light you could ever need. Which brings me to the next point: we can just run an extension cord and plug it into our power bank. Why didn't I think of this before? Oh, this is just incredibly perfect. Oh, I love it when everything works out so well. So, one of the finishing touches is we need to do something about this ugly ramp. A few things to consider: first, he's ugly. Secondly, if it gets wet, it has no grip at all . Yes, these steps are useful, but I don't like them. So, we're going to take off all these little step pads. We're going to polish this thing and then use a product I just found out about today. This is an anti-slip paint for porch and patio floors, for outdoor use. Supposedly it should contain some kind of filler. She is white. I have never used it. White isn't the best color…
