Abandoned House FINAL HOUSE TOUR!
What happens here
Initially, the entryway featured a solid, dark door that blocked natural light, making the space feel cramped and unwelcoming. The area also had a basic coat rack and an open cabinet. The renovation involved replacing the old door with a new, glass-paned door to allow natural light to flood the space. A custom mudroom setup was built, incorporating a cleated back wall with natural wood tones, hooks, a bench with a cushioned seat, and ample storage drawers underneath for shoes and other items. Overhead cabinets were also added, replacing the previous open cabinet. The wall opposite the mudroom bench now features a decorative picture and two small benches for additional seating or as a landing zone.
Goal: The entryway was transformed from a dark, closed-in space with a closet-like door and minimal functionality into a bright, welcoming mudroom with natural light and custom storage solutions.
