Remove Diverter Handle and Cover

So inside this, usually there's going to be a cap right here. Well you can see the cap is not on the center one, that's another thing we're trying to locate. You just take a Phillips head screwdriver and unscrew this, and then this whole thing once you get it unscrewed enough, it's going to just pull out, okay, so see that just pops off, that is just where the stem sits down, and you got that screw in there. The next thing is going to be this cover. There's actually two pieces to this cover, and we'll take this off and I'll show you. So a lot of times these are going to screw out together. This whole little spindle right here actually will unscrew, okay, so this piece right here actually screws into where the packing goes, and that's what holds this in place. You can see they put a little siliconized acrylic caulk here, and that's just to keep this in place so it doesn't move.
