(8,548 characters)okay so check out this faucet all right look at that this thing is all beat up and busted up it actually doesn't sit still she says she's constantly having to adjust it and move it all the time it won't go back in um that's what we're looking at today if you have an old kitchen faucet like this that you don't care about at all this video is for you all right because i'm going to show you how to take this out super fast and install something new so come along let's get to fixing [Music] [Applause] okay so this is what we're going to be installing today this is the delta varos my friends picked this out costco hooked him right up they said hey brian could you give us a hand that's what we're doing so with this method i like to put a couple towels down right one this towel right here actually protects against this edge it's really going to help you out there especially if you feel old and decrepit like me all right you climb underneath these long enough you realize it sucks first thing you want to do is you want to make sure that your shut off valves work this one right here i know it works good because it's quarter turn so just be able to shut that right off this one right here multi-turn as long as these shut off our method is going to work quick fast and easy all right come up to the faucet boom we got nothing okay so with those shut off we're just going to take an adjustable jaw wrench and you just want to take these supply lines off and remember this faucet's junk it's going away so what i like to do then take these and these these little small pieces of copper you can just bend them right just bend that [Music] gone [Music] it's gonna make it so much easier on you grab the sprayer hose and just pull that out one thing we got to do with that sprayer hose is just grab right up here [Music] and we gotta pull that off and now you can see exactly what you're working with and you can see up here that actually they're missing a screw so there's only two screws holding this in and that's probably one of the reasons why this faucet's moving all the time as well so it's just a matter and these were super loose this wasn't even tight right and then this whole thing just spins off we'll grab all this stuff out we're gonna need that different kind of weight and just pull out the faucet bag up this is going to be the seal right here kind of styrofoam foamish type of seal and it just splits in two and that's what's actually going to seal this down when this pinch is closed it's going to make a watertight seal we're not going to need these because that goes to the three hole so just want to grab this delta makes their own tool to put their faucet on it's awesome and this is their own little aerator tool this nut right here is what's actually gonna hold this faucet on so you take this bad boy right here and let's just start right here bottom of the faucet let's just rip this right off here this tab let's rip it off you don't need it you don't have to rip the paper off yet we'll just put this right here get it up to the faucet to right about there and then you can see this is just going to sit right there so what you want to do then is you just want to take this piece of paper off of here and you can just rip it it's going to come right off take this very gently kind of set it down in that groove and it's going to be hooked up so now if you want to be on the safe side you want to know 100 this is going to seal and no water is actually going to get down in there it says that you can just use some silicone and go around that and that's typically what i like to do if the manufacturer is recommending it then that is usually how i roll the handle is going to go to the right side if the handle goes to the right side i like to put the spout over to the left it's a good little tip to kind of keep it balanced okay until you get everything set up below so now we're going to take this piece right here and this is going to press up against the sink and it's going to press up against the sink with the screw side down okay that way you're going to be able to access those so you want to find the end of the hose that goes to the pull out and you want to take this gasket right here and you want to put that through there and then this is just going to kind of wrap around these other pieces and it's going to just sit right up here in place and then you have this little brass nut you're going to stick that right over the end of the pull out hose piece as well and just start threading that in place once you get that started you can grab the tool that delta provided slide that hose through there you can see that's why they make it with the uh end open and then you can just grab it i like to grab a hold of the two supply lines hold them tight and then just start spinning and man it's a lot of spinning these are very long-winded okay and as you start to get this a little bit tight what you want to do is then go up top grab this get it set up to where you want it because it's kind of tight down there but it's not too tight and this is gonna be right where it goes and then you're just gonna wipe that silicone off right just get your access off of there so now you can tighten this up the rest of the way and then tighten up your two screws okay and so then if your faucets moved at all you could do just a little bit more of adjustment clean up any more access silicone that might have squeezed out snug up those screws one last time just to make sure everything is super tight okay so now you have these two pieces right here this one's for your pull down and this one is going to the faucet what you're going to do is you're going to take the one for the pull down you're going to slide the weight the weight's a slide weight and you're just going to slide that on there loop this around and you're just going to put those two things together just push them until they stop all right then you're able to take this little retaining clip here and it goes right in between both sides of this you can kind of feel and see where it goes and then just pops right in place what i like to do is i like to at this point pull your pull down down i like to see where it's actually going to hang and i want to make sure that i keep my lines out of the way you got two lines here with the delta you got a cold and you got a hot right it's actually going to be red and blue so very tight quarters but if you can loop this around and get the loop back out of the way we can hold this back here while tightening this it should stay and then be in a good position man you can see the build up and the dishwasher drain line that thing is a little funky monkey so we're going to do the same thing with this one and we're going to bring the loop to the back side and just plug that right in and that's going to be great you can get about a a turn a turn and a half from hand tight you're sitting pretty good okay so now you can see we've got these lines out of our way and we've got our hanging weight there's nothing interrupting this this thing is going to be able to slide let me show you all right and that's moving side to side while sliding no hang ups so then we'll turn the valves on all right so i like to go ahead and pop this head off right and just go ahead and you push this button down right here hold that down and that's going to take this out make sure you hold on to this because you got a weight on the bottom right but i don't like to get any kind of debris started off in here okay run it both hot and cold okay pop that back on you can hear it clicking eventually it just stops you're good to go testing it's got that cool little glass cleaning feature get that the whole way there look at that pretty cool all right you can see that a plumber did not install this faucet right because that is pipe dope and that's a lot of pipe dope on a flexible supply line that doesn't need even teflon tape all right so we're good to rock and roll here everything is hooked up this has got a couple cool new features like check that out right pretty awesome and everything looks a lot better it's functioning it works there's not going to be a leak it's actually installed correctly and we're good to rock and roll i really hope this video helps if you guys could please subscribe to the channel
