Finally, after each cut, ensure the underside of the mowing deck is clean. After disconnecting the spark plug wire for safety, carefully tilt the lawn mower onto its side. Use a garden hose with a spray nozzle to thoroughly wash away all accumulated grass clippings, dirt, and debris from the underside of the deck and around the blade. This prevents buildup that can reduce cutting efficiency and lead to rust.
