Once the wooden pieces are in place on a stair, immediately apply heavy weights, such as metal blocks or other dense objects, to the newly installed wooden tread. This pressure helps to ensure a strong and even bond between the wooden covering and the concrete as the hot adhesive cools and cures. Leave the weights in place for several hours or overnight, as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
