Install Risers — Prepare Riser Structure

Start by installing the new risers. Use a pencil to mark the height of the riser on the inner stringer. If the height of the riser is consistent, multiple pieces can be cut in advance using a table saw set at the appropriate angle (e.g., 5 degrees as shown in the video). Apply a strong construction adhesive, such as PL Premium, to the back of the riser before placing it firmly against the existing stair structure.
