Step 4 · Disconnect Old Hoses from Washing Machine
Carefully pull the washing machine forward, away from the wall, to gain clear access to the connections on the back of the appliance. Use your channel-lock pliers to unscrew the hoses from the hot and cold water inlets on the machine, again turning counter-clockwise. Be mindful that the inlet connections on the washer itself are often made of plastic, so be gentle. Once disconnected, you can fully remove the old hoses and drain any remaining water into your bucket.
