Step 5 · Attach New Hoses to the Washing Machine
Take your new Braided Stainless Steel Washing Machine Hoses. Identify which hose will be for hot water (often marked with a red stripe or tag) and which for cold (blue). Confirm that a rubber washer is seated correctly inside the coupling at one end of each hose. Thread the appropriate hose onto the corresponding hot and cold inlet on the back of the washing machine. Start by tightening them by hand until snug, then use the channel-lock pliers to give them a final quarter to half-turn. Do not overtighten.
