Efficient Block Removal and Transportation
At 5:32 in
TOUGH retaining wall build. Day1
What happens here
After removing multiple courses of blocks, Blaine uses the mini excavator's bucket to carefully pop out the fence posts that were integrated into the retaining wall. The removed retaining wall blocks are systematically loaded into the skid steer's bucket. To maximize efficiency and trailer capacity, the crew carefully stacks the blocks in the bucket. They calculate that 21 blocks can be fit into the skid steer's bucket per trip, and 85 blocks can be transported on the trailer before exceeding weight limits. The skid steer then transports the loaded blocks along the track mats and dumps them into a large black dump trailer for disposal or reuse.
Goal: Remove remaining blocks and fence posts, then efficiently transport them off-site.
