What happens here

After using a silicon gun or caulk gun, it's common for the caulk or sealant in the tip to dry out, making it almost impossible to use again. To prevent this, simply insert a small screw into the end of the nozzle after use. The screw creates an airtight seal, keeping the caulk moist and ready for your next project. When you need to use the caulk again, just unscrew it.

Goal: Prevent caulk/sealant from drying out in the nozzle.

Tools and materials

  • Caulk Gun — Dispensing caulk or sealant
  • Small Screw — Creating an airtight seal in the caulk tube nozzle
  • Caulk/Sealant Tube Polyfilla — The material to be preserved

so my second tip um is another one another simple one um so when i use a silicon gun like that i've got some cork in there at the moment um when you're using it obviously it's all good when you come to storing it especially with silicon when it dries in the tip it's well almost impossible to get out um so to try and keep it moist and to try and keep it so that it won't go dry i put a small screw in the end of it um and if you've been on my instagram you'll see posts like this that i put up and all you do is screw it into the end like that stops it drying out and then all you need to do is unscrew it for the next time you need it and it's it's ready to go
