What happens here

When storing a partially used silicone or caulk cartridge, prevent the material in the nozzle from drying out by inserting a small screw into the tip. Silicone, especially, can dry very hard and become impossible to remove from the nozzle, rendering the cartridge unusable. The screw creates a tight seal, keeping the remaining caulk moist and ready for future use. Simply unscrew it when you need to use the caulk again.

Goal: Prevent caulk or silicone from drying out in the nozzle of a caulk gun.

so my second tip um is another one another simple one um so when i use a silicon gun like that i've got some cork in there at the moment um when you're using it obviously it's all good when you come to storing it especially with silicon when it dries in the tip it's well almost impossible to get out um so to try and keep it moist and to try and keep it so that it won't go dry i put a small screw in the end of it um and if you've been on my instagram you'll see posts like this that i put up and all you do is screw it into the end like that stops it drying out and then all you need to do is unscrew it for the next time you need it and it's it's ready to go
