(9,112 characters)on home improvement how-tos. I'm going to be testing out and using the Graco Ultra handheld battery operated sprayer. This thing's battery battery operated by a DeWalt 20 volt battery. And I got my shed here. Right here. Just shot a video doing tip sizing and stuff that's going to be coming out pretty soon. And now I got to respray what I just shot all over my shed. Got to put it back to normal. So I'm going to test out this Graco handheld right now using a 514 FL FP tip. So, we're going to get started with this and see how this thing works and see how easy it is to use. So, got the sprayer right here in front of me. All I got to do is load up this cup. Thing's not too difficult to use. It's got a prime and prime and spray. I turn it to you right there. Loading up the cup is not too difficult. It's got battery. It's got a pressure uh control dial right here. It's got a light that says whether it's on or not. Um, looks like everything's good to go. I got a tip on here. The tip I'm going to be using a 514 tip. So, we just put some paint inside my cup. I'll show you how this thing works. Once I got it screwed on, it has this little sight cup right here. And I'm just going to squeeze this bag right here until I see my material fill this sight cup up halfway up. And that's when you know all the air is purged out of it. Sight cup's ready to go. I'm just going to turn it on prime. Just prime it for a second. Now put it to spray. And there it is. It's ready to spray. didn't have to thin the materials or anything. It's ready to go. So, let's test it out. There was a little bit of water in it, so some water mixed in there, but I'm going to start spraying this. So, here we go. Got it all loaded up. It's really simple, easy to use. Once again, it uses a DeWalt the DeWalt 20 volt um XR lithium ion battery. Just comes right on and off. It came with two batteries and a charger. Thing's brand new. It's an airless sprayer, so you don't have to thin any of the materials. No need to thin. I never thin anything when I'm running an airless sprayer. Now, you see how [Applause] So, the tip just got clogged. It's got re um the reversible tip. So, just reverse it tip. And that's all you got to do to unclog it. [Music] So, gone about halfway through my material. It's um I don't know. It's not the lightest thing on the planet, but it's [Music] It's not too bad. Pretty cool little device for small projects. It's working pretty simply and easily. I said, all you got is just your prime and spray right there. Got a little bit more to do. Have to refill. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] So, I can hear it. It just ran out. Started making a little a loud noise. So, I'm going to fill it back up and finish the project. I'm just going to stick it on prime once again. Prime it for a second. Now, spray it. It's ready to go. And we'll finish our little project here. [Music] This thing is absolutely amazing. I love it. [Music] [Applause] So, so far I really like this thing, the Graco Ultra handheld. It's uh pretty cool unit. Very simple, easy to use. It uses you got to um make sure it uses the FFLP tips. You don't want to put any other tips. I tried the the corded model and I put the regular tips in there and it um has a whole lot of overspray. These airless sprayers run at low pressure, these handheld ones, so you need the FFLP tips and it sprayed out really nice. There was no overspray. I didn't see any overspray in the air or anything. There's no overspray on the unit itself. It still looks brand new and clean just from siding this or spraying this whole side of the shed. Now I'm going to clean it up, see how easy it is to clean. So far, I like everything. um be able to once this thing was fully loaded, it's a little bit heavy. You're, you know, works your shoulders a little bit, but for a handheld unit, pretty cool. The finish looks really good. So, let's clean this thing out and see how the rest of it um goes. So, this whole thing just is all going to come apart. We'll unscrew this. These little plastic containers right here. They're flexible plastic. They are reusable. So, I'm going to clean it out. I got a whole bunch of them from Graco. You can purchase some, you know, or um just throw them away. You can purchase if you don't want to go to the extent of cleaning them out. But I they I guess they can be used for quite a while. We just dump our paint in there. Dump our cup in there. Get our all our parts. This part doesn't need to be clean. I'm just going to go through this cleaning process here. See how long it takes compared to a regular airless sprayer. Now the sight glass is half full. Just going to stick it to prime. [Music] Shake it up a little bit. So now I got it all clean. Going to put some It came with some Graco pump armor. Going to stick some of this pump armor in there. And it's just a anti-corrosive and just good for the unit. I'm going to put that in there So, one simple adjustment you might might want to play with is back here. You got the pressure dial right here. And I got it here's all the way up. I'll turn it all the way down now so you can see. So, different products you might want to mess around with it depending on the product you're spraying with. that I sprayed here with our latex paint. I just had it at full pressure, but if you see if you turn it all the way down, you're going to see that pulsating. So, if you're trying to get a fine finish on a door or something like that, you're probably not going to want to have that pressure very low. But just mess around with the dial. Just a simple little dial right here that you can mess around with on the the pressure itself. And one of the nice things about this thing is you don't have to have very much product. Right here, I only had about a half a pint of this pump protector. put it in there, squeeze the bag, and um that's all I needed to get going. So, if you only had, say, a pint of paint to do a small project, that's one thing that's nice about this versus a regular airless sprayer. A regular airless sprayer, we got to have at least a gallon to load up our machine with. Here, you don't even have to have a quart. So, there you have it. The Graco Ultra handheld airless sprayer. It's kind of a really cool device. I really like this thing, and it's something I definitely would put in my vehicles and use. And the the handhelds in the past, I never purchased them, never used them because you just pick one up and you can tell it's just a cheap device. This thing is really, really well made. I love this thing. It worked really well. Sprayed really well. I like the FFLP tips in this thing. I do get a lot of questions on some of my previous videos. I think I a video unboxing one of these things. People asking me, can you use other products like oil based products and lacquer products? And yes, you can use all those products in this thing. It's an airless sprayer just like a big pump airless sprayer. Um there's some a pressure control on it right here to you can mess around with the pressure control. When I was just using it here, I never even thought about messing around with it. It sprayed so well. But the pressure control on it, it's very simple, easy to use. If I had anything to criticize this thing with the the cleanup process is a little more difficult than a regular airless sprayer. you actually have to get your hands in there and clean the thing and um get water and paint on your hands. A regular airless sprayer like our our larger pumps and stuff, we typically don't um have to put our hands in the water and put our hands in the paint to clean it up. It's um so it take the the cleanup time was probably about the same as it was with a regular airless sprayer, but the fact that I just had to put the parts down in the water and dip that, that's my only, you know, um criticism of the thing. But I really love it. Um I love the shape of it. The weight of it uh is um not too heavy. It's not it's a lot lot heavier than holding a gun itself when the thing's fully loaded. But I think uh any female any male could use this thing. It's awesome. Runs on the DeWalt battery. I think I said that before. This DeWalt battery can be used on your other DeWalt tools that use this uh the 20 volt battery. So really cool. Um awesome device. Hope you've enjoyed this video.
