TIME TO GET A NEW ONE?...VACUUM CLEANER CORD REPAIR!

What happens here

Once the wires are twisted and inserted into the solder and seal connectors, use a lighter or heat gun to apply heat directly to the metal ring in the center of each connector. The heat will melt the solder, creating a strong electrical connection, and simultaneously shrink the clear tubing of the connector, sealing and insulating the splice. Continue applying heat until the solder visibly melts and flows, and the tubing shrinks snugly around the wires.

Goal: Permanently join and insulate the wire connections.
