What happens here

To enhance the durability and secure the repair, especially if the heat shrink tubing did not shrink perfectly tight, wrap the entire repaired section with high-quality electrical tape. Start wrapping from one side of the heat shrink and extend slightly onto the original cord, then wrap tightly and overlap the tape until you reach the other side, ensuring complete coverage and a firm seal.

Goal: Add extra protection and security to the cord repair.
