The Cat dies on the job #frickin

What happens here

With the track removed, the operator gains clear access to the damaged hydraulic hoses. He disconnects several hoses from the hydraulic pump, including the main blue hose and a smaller one that were identified as leaking. He removes these old, worn hoses, noting the visible wear and tear on their surfaces. The old hoses are then replaced with brand new ones, carefully fishing them through the tight spaces and connecting them to the hydraulic pump and the track-side connections.

Goal: Install new hydraulic hoses to fix the leaks.

Tools and materials

  • New Hydraulic Hoses — Replacing the leaking hoses
  • Screwdrivers — Assisting with hose routing in tight spaces
  • Wrenches — Disconnecting and reconnecting hydraulic fittings

kind of hard to see uh from the video but uh the dirt is up there and the hose is way down there at the bottom up we got these hoses all off got them disconnected from the track side over here at least one is this one is at least cracked loose so just a matter of pulling it through the side there and going down and getting some new hoses made [Music] all right so now that I got the hoses out I believe that you could really see what's going to get a better spot here see all the metal showing there and right there and then same on this uh smaller hose you can see the there's actually a hole right there you got these hoses out and uh we're off to go get some new ones all right got the new hoses here got the hydraulic fluid the hydraulic oil I got this one already started fishing into there I got all the hoses reconnected you can see the new ones I put in there right there brand new blue this right here is actually a hydraulic oil the main line to the pump there I wipe down all my connections to make sure that when I do start it up that none of them are dripping it looks like that one back there actually is dripping so I'm gonna have to investigate onto that and just make sure that it's tightened up enough and maybe the gasket isn't making a good seal I'll have to pull it off and evaluate it all right so I got it all filled up
