What happens here

To mitigate the risk of fuel system freezing, the crew proactively fills all equipment fuel tanks completely to minimize air space where condensation can form. Additionally, a fuel treatment (such as diesel anti-gel or a fuel additive) is added to the fuel. Equipment is then run and cycled to ensure the treated fuel circulates throughout the system before the temperatures drop drastically.

Goal: Prevent fuel lines and tanks from freezing in extreme cold.
