What happens here

To add functional and ambient lighting, install LED strip lights. First, attach aluminum LED channels to the underside of each floating shelf and the countertop, securing them with screws. These channels provide a clean housing for the LED strips and a diffuser for soft, even light. Drill small holes behind the channels and through the shelves to route the LED wires discreetly behind the shiplap. Connect the LED strips to their power supply, ensuring all wiring is hidden. Test the lights to confirm functionality. This step provides an elegant backlighting effect and enhances visibility in the laundry nook.

Goal: Install LED strip lights within aluminum channels under each floating shelf and countertop. Conceal wiring for a clean, backlit effect.
