Scrape Raised Areas Around Screw Holes

Inspect screw holes in the drywall, often indicated by a raised, 'volcano-like' bump around the screw's entry point. Use a sharp Linbide scraper or a similar carbide scraper. Hold the scraper flat against the wall and apply firm, even pressure to scrape down the raised area until it is completely flush with the surrounding wall. This is crucial to prevent a noticeable bump after painting.
