Sand Dried Spackle Smooth

What happens here

Allow the spackle to dry completely, which can take several hours depending on the thickness of the application and humidity. Once dry, use a medium-grit sanding sponge or sandpaper. Lightly sand the patched areas in circular motions or with gentle back-and-forth strokes. The goal is to smooth out any slight ridges or texture differences created by the spackle, not to remove the spackle itself. Avoid over-sanding, which can create depressions. The surface should feel smooth and even to the touch, ready for primer and paint.

Goal: Once the spackle is completely dry, lightly sand the patched areas to remove any remaining ridges or imperfections.
