Repair Your Drywall in 3 EASY STEPS! Prepping Walls to Paint

What happens here

When encountering plastic wall anchors that are embedded too firmly to pull out, use the butt end of a sturdy putty knife (like a 5-in-1 tool) or a hammer to carefully tap the anchor inward until it creates a small indentation below the surface of the drywall. Alternatively, if the anchor is flush but cannot be removed, a sharp putty knife can be used to scrape it off with enough force. Ensure the anchor is completely recessed or removed so that spackle can be applied to create a flat surface.

Goal: For wall anchors that are difficult to remove, hammer them into the wall to create a recess that can be filled with spackle.
