Nonstop water pumping system no power...complete simple setup explained!

What happens here

To ensure the filter intake remains at an optimal depth (about 16 inches below the surface, where the cleanest water is), a float system and an anchor are required. The float system is created by stringing several red fishing floats onto a piece of paracord. The anchor system uses a heavy chain (or any suitable heavy object like an old pump housing) tied to the other end of the paracord. The length of the paracord is adjusted so that the floats position the filter at the desired depth, and the heavy chain keeps the entire intake system securely in place on the pond bed.

Goal: Position the filter at the optimal depth and prevent it from moving.

Tools and materials

  • Heavy Chain — Anchoring the intake system to the pond bed
  • Red Fishing Floats — Providing buoyancy for the filter intake
  • Paracord — Connecting floats and anchor to the filter
