My Fourth Race EVER in Vintage NASCAR Monte Carlo! Things Get Crazy...

What happens here

The driver provides an overview of the technical aspects of the race cars. These cars are primarily older NASCAR Cup, Busch, or Pro Cup chassis. They are powered by engines like SB2s, R5 Dodge, or ARCA LS-style engines. All competitors use the same hard compound tires, which are heavy and challenging to handle due to their immense power.

Goal: Understand the technical constraints and challenges of the race cars

Tools and materials

  • ARCA LS-style Engine ARCA — One type of engine used in the cars
  • Hard Compound Tires — Standard tires for all competitors
  • R5 Dodge Engine Dodge — One type of engine used in the cars

out. I'm excited. >> Now, even though some of these cars might have composite or different looking bodies, these chassis are either old Cup, Bush, or Pro Cup cars. This particular one that Jeremy's driving was actually an old junior motorsports car that was driven by Brad Keslowski in like 2008 or 9. See, it's got the HMS number on it. My own car down there is an old Joe Gibbs Racing Bush Series car uh driven by Bobby Labani in 2005, Eric Almarola in 2006, Joey Logano in 2007 when he run the Bush East Championship. He actually won his first NASCAR sanctioned race in that car at Greenville Picking Speedway. and I'm driving it today. They either got SB2s, I got an R5 Dodge, Jeremy's got the Arca LS style engine in here. And everybody runs on the same tire. It's a harder compound, so it's hard to make them work. They're heavy. Um, so they don't go as fast as late models, but they are they have a lot of power. You can blow the tires off at will, and you feel all that weight moving around. They're really tough to get a handle on.
