What happens here

This project demonstrates how to create a custom stop block for a miter saw, designed with a 45-degree angle to prevent sawdust buildup and ensure precise, repetitive cuts. The stop block allows users to quickly cut multiple pieces of wood to the exact same length without needing to measure each one individually, significantly improving efficiency and accuracy in woodworking tasks.

Do you need 10, 20, 30 boards all cut at the same length and you don't want to measure every single time? Well, stick around. I got you. Now, to make yourself a stop block, grab any size piece of wood that you have. Go ahead and just drop a 45 right in that corner. All right, so now that we have a 45 cut in this corner, we're going to zero out our saw again. So, go ahead, pull your saw down, lock it. You want to make sure there's no sawdust on the table or the fence before you do this. So, now take your stop block, put it on the table and your fence, and adjust it to how big you want your cut. So, in our case, we're going to do a 2-in block. So, I'm going to line that up with 2-in block. Hold this down. I'm going to go ahead and clamp this. Now, you're probably wondering, why did we put that 45 on there? Well, I'll show you. If you make multiple cuts, you're going to get sawdust build up right there. And that's going to throw off your cut 1/8 of an inch, 1/4 of an inch, whatever the case is. When we get sawdust built up in here from cutting a lot, when we go to push our board, that board will always stay tight because the sawdust has a place to go. Now, we just line it up, All right, now it's super important to let that saw come to a full stop before you come up. If I were to just quick chop and come up, that gives this blade an opportunity to grab this block and throw it behind itself. And there you have it. All the same size blocks cut quickly with a stop block. Anyways, it's Thursday night and uh I got stuff to do. I'll catch you guys later. Peace.
