Paint Baseboards and Remove Tape (Tape Only Method)

What happens here

After successfully applying the masking tape, proceed to paint your baseboards using a brush or roller. Once the baseboards are painted, it is crucial to remove the masking tape while the paint is still wet. If the paint is allowed to dry completely, it may create 'paint bridging,' where the dried paint forms a continuous film between the baseboard and the tape. Pulling dried tape in this scenario can cause the paint to peel or chip off the newly painted baseboard. Upon removal of the wet tape, the carpet pile will naturally fluff back up and cover the bottom edge of the baseboard, effectively hiding any slight imperfections or the original masked line.
