Apply Tape to Carpet Edge (Tape Only Method)

If choosing the tape-only method for brushing or rolling paint, take a roll of 1-inch masking tape and begin applying it along the base of the baseboard. Use your fingers to carefully tuck the tape underneath the baseboard and into the carpet pile. The video highlights a natural gap where the carpet tack strip is located, which can be utilized to effectively push the tape down and create a tight seal. Continue along the entire length of the baseboard, ensuring the tape is firmly tucked.
