What happens here
To create a bucket-based nipple waterer, take a clean 5-gallon bucket. Using a drill with an 11/32-inch drill bit (or the size recommended for your specific nipples), carefully drill small holes around the bottom circumference of the bucket for horizontal nipples, or directly on the bottom for vertical nipples. Ensure the holes are evenly spaced and at an appropriate height for your chickens. Screw the nipple waterers into these drilled holes. The nipples are self-tapping and will create a tight, leak-free seal. Fill the bucket from the top, and gravity will feed water to the nipples, allowing chickens to drink by pecking the valve.
Goal: Create a gravity-fed waterer using a bucket and nipple valves.
