What happens here

To create an outside corner, take a piece of J-trim and measure one inch down from the end. Cut across the back and score the front at this mark. Then, make a 45-degree cut on the front piece from the scored line to the outer edge, creating a mitered corner. Next, take a separate piece of J-trim. From the back, measure one inch and cut out a small section, creating a small tab. Trim the edges of this tab to a point using tin snips for a cleaner fold. Finally, with a speed square, mark and cut a 45-degree angle on the front of the trim and then cut out the excess, leaving a 'V' shape. This allows the J-trim to fold over the corner with the tab from the other piece locking into place, forming a clean outside corner.

Goal: Cut and shape J-trim sections for clean outside corner joints.

did here. We're going to take our first piece here, and we're going to measure an inch down and cut it out. Now, our inch down is the width of this. Now that we got our inch cut out, we're going to put it to the side. And now we're going to do this piece. We're going to cut an inch out of the back, but we're just going to fold it. We're not going to cut it off. Now, it should look something like this. Just take this piece and just fold it back like that. Once we have this tab, we're just going to trim a little bit of the edges off, make it like a point. So, now we're going to go ahead and we're going to put a 45 right here and cut that out. And lock in here like this, and just like that, you have your
