What happens here

This project provides a detailed method for achieving perfectly fitted outside baseboard trim corners. It focuses on the critical step of accurately measuring the actual wall angle, calculating the precise miter saw setting, and then cutting and test fitting the trim pieces to ensure a seamless, professional finish, unlike standard 45-degree cuts that often result in gaps.

Do your outside corners look like this? Let's fix it. A lot of people automatically cut 245s assuming this corner is a perfect 90. But before I cut anything, I'm going to check the actual angle. This corner is 88.65. So, 88.65 I'm going to round it to 89. So, we're going to do 180 - 89 = 91. 91 / 2 = 45 1/2. This 45 1/2 is going to be our miter cut. Mark your baseboard. Keep the back tight against your fence. Line the cut up with your short point. Now, these pieces are cut for the corner that's actually here. And look at that joint. Don't assume every corner is a perfect 90. Find your angle, subtract from 180, and divide by two. And make sure you test fit it before you glue and fasten. Anyways, I got baseboard to put up. I'll catch you guys later. Peace.
